Japanese company Sharp has always been famous for the advanced developments in the field of displays. And as the rumors suggest, now the company is working on creating the next generation of LCD panels for smartphones, which will have a resolution of 4K (4096 x 2160).
It is assumed that the mass production of such displays can be established in 2016. They will be manufactured with the diagonals of 5 to 6 inches. Thus, the pixel density 5.5-inch screen will be 842 pixels per inch. To date, a similar figure is more than impressive.
Also reported rumors that Sharp continues to work on the current generation of panels LTPS LCD. In particular, corporate developments Sharp in this area will enable it to produce displays LTPS LCD even higher quality.
Now Japanese use polycrystalline silicon, fused glass, whereby screens have even greater transparency, and hence they will be more vivid.
One argue that Sharp already has a display for a smartphone with a density of 600ppi, which goes to the Chinese market at the beginning of the next financial year.
