Qualcomm introduced solutions 802.11ac 2.0 for high-speed Wi-Fi


    Company Qualcomm Incorporated today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Qualcomm Atheros, has introduced the industry’s only integrated ecosystem solutions 802.11ac standard 2.0 with support for multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO), which is capable of providing high-speed connectivity to Wi-Fi.

    The new processor Qualcomm QCA9377 provides high-speed connectivity to Wi-Fi network and a high-quality playback of streaming multimedia content on laptops, Smart TV, media servers, and other similar devices.     Qualcomm Atheros plans to support MU-MIMO for the entire line of network solutions for 802.11ac 2.0 and already offers customers using its products to processors to work in networks 802.11ac (QCA6174A and WCN3680B), use Qualcomm MU | EFX in the following mobile products.

    The first live demonstration of integrated MU-MIMO-chip solution using Qualcomm MU | EFX 802.11ac 2.0 took place in Amsterdam in forum Broadband World Forum. Currently being tested Qualcomm QCA9377, and production on a commercial scale is expected before the end of the year.
