While some are waiting for the arrival of processors from Intel Skylake, you can recall the CPU Broadwell-E, which, as we recall, will be compatible with motherboards LGA 2011-3 and chipset x99.
These solutions will replace the model Haswell-E. However, replace only in 2016.
Thus, starting from next year, Intel will have a small “chaos” with the presence in the product line of several generations of processors, with current generations.
The new CPU will get labeled type Core i7-5xxx and will have 6 or 8 cores and 20 MB cache in the third level.
Maximum TDP value for the line will be 140 W, 100 W and not, as previously thought. The memory controller will support memory DDR4 (four channels) with up to 2400 MHz.
Mass production is scheduled for the first quarter of 2016.
