    It has already appeared rumors that the company is working on a new Olympus mirrorless camera series OM-D, and we now know that it will replace the model E-M5. Novelty can be presented early next year, for example, the announcement will take place at CES 2015 and release for sale – in January 2015. Resource 43 Rumors citing informed sources revealed some details about the device, namely, about its characteristics. Of course, this information is not yet official.

    According to a source, the new camera can shoot video with a resolution up to 4K. In addition, video can be shot with different frame rates: 24 f / s, 25 / s and 30 K / s. Another feature of the new device, which mentioned the source, is its all-weather capability. That is, most likely, it is a question of sealing and protection from water. Source also mentioned a new “unique” camera sensor, but details about it until it opened, most likely, the sensor will be of a Micro Four Thirds. Other characteristics of the new camera Olympus OM-D are still unknown. When the novelty will hit the market, it is likely to be able to compete with Panasonic GH4 and Sony A75.
