Remember the movie “Waterworld” in which one of the groups of people living in the midst of the vast ocean on a small man-made island in the shape of a ring? Similar idea to create his concept took two French architecture students. They decided to develop a floating city Arctic Harvester, autonomy which will provide a larger area of solar panels that will provide residents with electricity and fresh water reserve, which will be obtained from the icebergs, and it was therefore chosen form of the ring. According to the authors, their design will be able to capture a huge block of ice and place it in its circumference, drifting over the ocean. Fresh water and electricity will help grow gardens on site facilities to ensure food a population of about 800 people. The idea may be interesting and promising, but above it is still much work.
