In a recent event Broadband World Forum 2014 in Amsterdam, the company has introduced Broadcom SoC BCM63138. This SoC with support G.fast sells DSL gateway functions and delivers services in the home network “Gigabit-class”, including IPTV and broadcast multithreaded voice communication.
BCM63138 chip complements a range of solutions chip Broadcom BCM65200 / 900, which provides a connection over a phone paired with a speed of up to 1 Gbit / s.
By providing a home network work, BCM63138 SoC supports Wi-Fi dual-band, multi-port Gigabit Ethernet and streams VoIP. Its basis is the dual-core ARM Cortex-A9, clocked at 1 GHz. In the configuration of the SoC also includes hardware acceleration blocks, including block routing. In addition, the product boasts the ability to connect the NAS and the HDDs.
The mass production of Broadcom BCM63138 has already begun.
