Two days ago we wrote about the features of the mobile CPU Intel generation Skylake. Now, a source told the details about the characteristics of this generation graphics core processors (desktop and mobile).
So, there will be only five options embedded GPU: GT1, GT1.5, GT2, GT3e and GT4e. Number of stream processors (execution units; EU) will be from 12 to 72. We recall at the moment the most productive solution line Iris has 48 units and are able to compete with top-end integrated solutions AMD.
However, such GPU can boast only a few models of processors, and even then, their cost is very high.
GT1 – 12 execution units; will be included in the configuration of dual-core processors in LGA 1151 CPU and some of U with a TDP of 15 W;
GT1.5 – 18 execution units; dual-core processors in LGA 1151;
GT2 – 24 EU; processors in all lines of both platforms;
GT3e – 48 EU; some processor family U;
GT4e – 72 EU; in desktop and mobile quad CPU family H.
GPU GT3e GT4e and will be equipped with its own memory eDRAM. GT3e receive a 64 MB memory, regardless of the processor model. As a senior solutions, desktop quad CPU family H will be set 64 MB eDRAM, while similar mobile solutions will receive twice as much memory.
