in the year 2017, AMD plans to release a new processor architecture, intended for systems of three segments. In the desktop segment it will be conventionally processors name Summit Ridge, in Server-Naples, processors in the segment processors for mobile PC — Raven Ridge.
Processors Summit Ridge with eight cores can run up to sixteen simultaneous threads. Their frequency exceeds the 3.4 Ghz, cache levels II and III will be 20 MB (4 MB L2 and 16 MB L3).
processors will be part of the AMD platform AM4. Its key characteristics manufacturer considers DDR4 support, PCIe Gen 3, USB 2 NMVe, Gen 3.1 and SATA Express.
an important novelty is the SenseMI technology. Under this name the exact mechanisms are combined frequency control (25 Mhz) and power-geekiest prefetch and predictions based on integrated neural network.
Processors, still known as Summit Ridge, will go on the market in the first quarter under the brand name Ryzen.
